what is a procedure followed by a researcher to get a distilled form of aniline monomer? Please tell me the processes followed for the distillation of aniline monomer.
Hi Anand Kumar Vishwakarma, just in case that this is still of interest: Aniline tends to acquire a yellow or even brown coloration upon standing. In contrast, very pure freshly distilled aniline is colorless. The boiling point of aniline at normal pressure is rather high (184 °C). Thus I would suggest to distill it under vacuum using a water jet pump or an oil pump. Then I would use the freshly distilled aniline right away or store it under a nitrogen atmosphere
Aniline can be purified as suggested at the signalled papers: http://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/ie50129a017 http://pubs.rsc.org/en/Content/ArticleLanding/1949/JR/JR9490000753#!divAbstract
