Hoechst33342 (HY-15559, MCE) was used for tail vein injection in mice. The concentration reported in the literature was 4.8 mg/mL dissolved in normal saline, with 50 μL administered per mouse. However, during actual operation, I found that neither the 4.8 mg/mL concentration nor a dilution by half could achieve complete dissolution, even when heated to 50 degrees Celsius. According to my research, the solubility is stated to be 10-20 mg/mL, so I am unsure why it fails to dissolve.
