I need to take analog pulse (0-5 V) transition as hardware trigger and thereby call a third party software to acquire the pressure data simultaneously from DSA Scanivalve 3217. Is it possible to call and sample continuously by interfacing with a third party software?
look the software manual, it have the trigger instruction, but, you need read a trigger signal from other device, so in the page 8 of the hardware manual explain how to connect a external device. Thanks for the response......in my case i have a circuit which should generate a pulse (shaft encoder)....i need to take that input as a trigger and then use a timer to again trigger pressure acquisition....my main doubt is can i call or access the functions/options within a third party software to acquire data right at that moment...(actually i should click an acquire button...but can LabVIEW (press that button) for me through any means ??? Bcoz i cannot press the ACQUIRE button right at the moment i get the trigger signal....
If understood well, you need take measurement each especific time after the first trigger?
If is correct, I don´t see the problem, the encoder may send periodical pulses, so you device technically should take a measument timing with shaft encoder.
Or, you can use an electronic timer, that the first pulse from the shaft encoder trigger a periodic pulse, and you select the frequency of this pulses
Yes you got me....I should take measurement at periodic intervals after evry trigger(basically i have an IR sensor which detects a sticker on a rotating shaft)....can i get any ready made templates in NI website so that i can modify it to my purpose?
for eg : I need to capture at t= [0.0005 0.001 0.0015 0.002 .........0.2] seconds
ti= t0+dt ; what is the least dt i can have??
I cannot spend timeon developing these tools....i need to carry out my computer simulation also.... :( . that is the reasonwhy i am expecting such kind of help....:)
