AS per code ASTM E837, both uniform and non-uniform calculations are applicable only for calculation of residual stress from the relaxed strain values obtained from a isotropic material specimen.
How could the values of relaxed strains obtained from a composite material that is hetrogeneous and orthotropic be used for calculating the residual stresses?
