I have been working on the magnetocaloric effect (MCE) of perovskite materials. Recently, I am working on La1-xCaxMnO3 and La1-xSrxMnO3 compositions. I have studied several articles where the magnetic phase transition temperature had been determined from the M-T curve by differentiating and finding the minima (not explicitly done on the article). However, I have also seen a few articles based on ferrites where the transition temperature had been determined from the M-H curve or Arrott plots (not explicitly done on the article). Now, I want to learn how to determine the magnetic phase transition temperature in perovskites from M-H (preferred) / M-T curve. Any detailed (step by step) procedure from you or an article that contains the procedure is appreciable.

Arrott plot is the best option to determine the first or second order phase transition. Simply plot M^2 vs H/M. The negative slope of the M^2 vs H/M often indicates a first-order phase
transition which is discontinuous in nature. Other hand according to Banerjee criteria the
positive slope exposes the nature of second-order phase transition.
