Dear all,

I'm looking to apply Bernoulli's principle to determine the head rise in the pump.

Since most of the lectures are based on centrifugal pump, there is a suction pipe and delivery pipe, if both diameters are same, then velocity head get cancelled and also elevation head also gets cancelled.

But in vertical turbine pump, suction is close to the impeller (how to consider suction pipe diameter) and discharge is at the top.

1)Where the two locations to be considered for applying Bernoulli's principle to determine the net head (exactly location of suction and discharge to determine the net head)
