How to determine the grafting density of PEG on nanoformulation or nanoparticles?

I need to identify the type of PEG Coating confirmation on the nanoparticle. Since, there are two types of confirmation based on the grafting density of PEG, I would like to know how we can determine the mushroom and brush like confirmation of PEG. And how it is getting influenced by the molecular weight of the PEG.
