I have read a method by Dhawal Dorwal, that tests the accuracy of using spectrophotometry to determine the concentration of methyl salicylate within a plant extract.

However, i am unsure how to modify it for my experiment. I am currently in the process of evaporating of excess solvents (methanol, water and chloroform), to be left with the plant extract residue. I am unsure on how to use this for that or another assay.

Any suggestions would be great.
