I am looking for a method (other than EPR spin-trapping) that would allow me to detect and identify free radicals generated by light-irradiation of sample.
thank You for your answer. I am looking for something that allow me to specifically detect and identify not only oxygen radicals but also carbon- and sulfur- centered radicals.
Great suggestion though, will make use of it in the future research !
All transient, short-lived species, can be detected by using time resolving optical techniques. But I am not sure if there is any direct method that can specify the nature of the transient species (radical, ions or excited species), unless you combine the analysis with other conventional methods of analysis of products of irradiation.
