And where must the Pressure and mass flow rate be given if injector is assumed as a thin pipe?
We are doing CFD simulation of a PFI system. In order to design the injector do we need to design an injector or can we just assume it as this pipe with diameter equal to the exit diameter of the nozzle?
you can specify injector (hole diameter) and location of the injector in the manifold instead of entire modeling. Check the tutorial on discrete phase modeling in ansys fluent.
First consider the solid model of the manifold,
Second: use injection option in fluent do not try to model the injector
Third point : Evaporation distance must be found experimentally by laser diagnostics (lesser SMD gives evaporation). After simulation you can find the distance from injector tip to know the lesser SMD value which gives the evaporation point (but SMD profile for PFI injectors are different along the axial direction- horizontally). I do not know how to add wall film formation
fourth Point: SMD can will depend upon what is the fluid pressure operated
fifth point: No direct tutorial is available but similar tutorial like chapter 19 (Tut 04) : modeling evaporating liquid spray and tutorial 19- DPM channel : modeling evaporation of liquid droplets in a circular channel.
we are also validating the same problem for different conditions but still not successful in validation with experiment results.
Can you tell us if there are any papers with experimental results so that we can use them to validate our simulation results.

I want change the fuel mixture of injected to gasoline-air or diesel-air mixture, but the base fuel is acetylene-air mixture and no have other option. how can i change fuel injected to my order?
