Need a way to describe a Quasi-isotropic material in Abaqus. Properties are Exx = Eyy=54.7 GPa, Ezz = 9 GPa, NUxy = 0.29, NUxz = NUyz = 0.4, Gxy = 21.3 GPa, Gxz = Gyz = 3.21 GPa
In the elastic range? If so, within the 'edit material' window, select mechanical-elasticity-elastic and, then, change the type to engineering constants.
If you mean a quasi-isotropic material as a package of various-oriented orthotropic layers then see sections 2.1 and 2.3 of https://kb.osu.edu/dspace/bitstream/handle/1811/51842/1/Brice_M_Willis_undergraduate_thesis.pdf
@Silva, thanks for the reply. But my problem is that which type do I need to choose? Definitely it's not gonna be the isotropic and there are three probable options to me like Anisotropic, Orthotropic and Lamina. However, Choosing lamina, I had 6 inputs fro data where for example, I had to put 2 values of Nu, whereas, it provides me with 1 slot for the input only. I have provided two screenshots for you. Thanks again
