Dear Pavel Krasilnikov What I see is that the reference is by itself correct. There IS a book with reprints of papers from a special issue of the journal Agriculture of MDPI.

What goes wrong is that the search engine/algorithm of RG assigned some citations wrongly to this book instead of to the original paper.

Not entirely sure what to do about this. But most likely it is best to remove the link (which needs to be done by your co-author) since it is not officially a book but at best an e-book (without an ISBN number, your co-author inserted the ISSN number of the journal).

this to me seems to stress that this is not a book in the traditional sense of the word. Since 'normally' you can cite a book as well.

I see no problem in this - In fact, I had published an article (energy related) in 2022. The article read by one of the experts found it suitable as a chapter of a book 'Sustainability Handbook Vol. I' Elsevier publication. He pursued with me for almost 18 months before it formed a Chapter of this publication.

I think there's no problem with this, but it was necessary for the author to contact you and inform you of the matter in order to obtain your approval before publishing it.
