I am modeling a reinforced concrete beam in DIANA FEA.
I used steel plates for the supports and loading plates. So how can I define interface property between the concrete and the loading and steel plates? Can anybody guide me through this?

The interface b/w two disimilar material can be define in terms of normal stiffness and shear stiffness. The interface is consists of two types of displacement the one is normal displacement and the other one is shear displacement. it is a two dimensional kind of stress - strain response i.e. normal stress and shear stress. this can be predicted with the use of normal stiffness and shear stiffness..i suggest you to refer DIANA manual for further understanding in this aspects..ok all the best..
