Hello all,

I am trying to simulate an optical resonator around dielectric materials in CST Microwave Studio. At this point, the resonator material itself is not important (we tried to model it with gold (Jonson, optical), as a 3D solid or 2D thin panel. Still, it didn't give a reasonable solution, or the desired behavior, possibly due to frequency incompatibility. So we want to change the material definition aiming to investigate first the phenomenon without respect to the material itself. Aiming for that we want to define the reflectance of the material and not its dielectric function.

Because the model includes dispersive materials, the use of the asymptotic solver can't be used. So, how can we define a material by its reflectance value?

Thank you all,

Gal
