Hi, I am looking to deblur a vehicle license plate number attached below. However, it is in a very low resolution. Now, i want a detect the license plate area and to deblur it and see the license plate number. Solutions and suggestions will be appreciated.
Are you limited to using MATLAB, or do you have some familiarity with Python? You could apply a Canny edge filter, but since the license plate is so small in this image, I don't think any deblur method will do much good. Perhaps a good approach would be to try using an auto-encoder to increase the image resolution.

you can use LoG(Laplacian of Gaussian) filter, but actually I do not know it works for low resolution images or not
