For many of us, working to meet too many deadlines is a big problem. While it is a normal practice to work in a chronological fashion, meeting one deadline after another, from the nearest deadline so farthest deadline, time may be inadequate also. Work experience varies from person to person, and for me this is a major problem as I have too many deadlines - often, many within the same month,etc. We can prioritize tasks, but meeting all deadlines is difficult.

In a recent Scientific American (Dec 2014) article, Esther Landhuis suggests to banish procrastination by thinking differently about deadlines and cites some case studies as support.
