Some of the recent studies have suggested that improving sleep quality in diabetics would have a similar beneficial effect as the most commonly used anti-diabetes drugs.

Many of my friends who are academics with many deadlines get inadequate amount of sleep. They like to know whether insomnia and diabetes are related.

I welcome expert views on the link between lack of sleep and diabetes.
