How can I create counter plots of unsteady variables such as turbulent kinetic energy or turbulent dissipation rate in the unsteady simulations in FLUENT (ANSYS)?
In fluent, you have the possibility to “autosave case and data files” at a given frequency. It is also possibLe to create transient animations but I believe that Fluent is weak in terms of post processing.
If you want to make good quality video animations, I recommend you to export the Fluent data to ParaView in Ensight format. The post processing of unsteady simulations is much better with Paraview.
Thank you Mounir! You are right the post-processing in FLUENT sometimes gets really complicated! However, I found the solution. One can define the desired variable in the "custom field function" and then, selected in the "sampling options" in the "run" page.
