Dear all,
I am trying to simulate Plasma Argon flow inside a Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition Chamber. When setting up the the simulation, I get confused because there is no Plasma fluid in fluent database, only liuqids and solid. Can I use Ar+ as the fluid with the MHD module turned on? Any suggestions on how to define Argon Plasma as my fluid?

In ansys fuent the plasma is not a material you should consider magnetohydrodynamic model to simulate the plasma. I advice you to use ansys cfx beta instead of ansys fluent, it is more easier than fluent, you can refer to the paper to see how to simulate the electric arc plasma. So I am trying to simply insert the fluid by altering the properties of the fluid to convert it to Plasma. However, your paper, it shows that you applied a current field between two electrodes and thus you generated the plasma. This can be better to describe my experimental setup as well. How can I define electrodes at the flow inlet and how can I apply potential difference or apply current between them?
You have two options, either define the current or define the electrical potential defrences between the electrodes. For more accurate simulation I used averaged smoothed voltage curves. The boundary conditions illustrated in details. Which was opining conditions in the inlet.
The movement of the electric arc plasma controlled by two permanent magnets and two coils installed near the electrodes. The arc plasma itself feeds the coils with current. The arc plasma velocity increases if more current is allocated in the arc plasma.

Thank you for your suggestion. I am using velocity inlet and have not put any electrodes at the inlet. While applying MHD method, I found there are two options: Magnetic induction and electric potential. In electric potential, there is no option to apply volt or current, only external magnetic field, B*0.
Since I have not included any electrodes at my flow inlet, do you suggest including two electrodes at the flow inlet geometry? Besides, how can I apply a current field by the MHD module since I only found the option for magnetic induction?
