I am currently studying the analysis of flow in a plate heat exchanger. i find problems in creating fluid domain with ansys. there is no couplage between the plate and the fluid domain. Is there a guide or tutorial in order to help me?
Plate heat exchanger is a structural part (only ribs/fins). While going for fluid domain extraction, the domain (enclosure) need to build up first and then you can do Boolean (subtraction). So, you will get fluid domain with the walls of plate heat exchanger. Else,
You can model the whole heat exchanger, and during fluid domain extraction close the inlet and outlet using surface option. Then using fill option you can easily obtain the flow domain.
If you are doing FSI coupling analysis. Then you should create the interface (Fluid solid interface).
For a tutorial I would recommend going to YouTube and searching for something like "ansys heat exchanger cfd" (or different variations of that) and you will find a huge amount of step-by-step tutorials to get you started.
