I'm dealing with some issues regarding resuspension and use of a Roche DNAse I that we purchased from Merck (Ref:10104159001).
The product is purchased as a lyophilized vial (100 mg), and the Certificate of Analysis of the DNAse reports an activity of 3086 u/mg (Kunitz units).
Is anyone confident in converting Kunitz units to standard units for DNAse I?
I have to prepare a stock of 1000 U/ml but I cannot do it f I don't know how much Kunitz units of my product correspond to 1000 U.
The supplier was not helpful when we asked information, and literature is ambiguous as we found that the conversion could be 1 U = 1.5 kunitz units but also 1 U = 0.3 kunitz units.
