I wonder how one can convert COMSOL simulation data (simultaneously with the mesh) into something useful for analysis and visualisation in other programs like Paraview or Avizo?
The build in capabilities for visualisation are ok, but sooner or later one may need more. And, it seems that Comsol does not provide any output formats for simulation data except ASCII or Excel.

Alright, thanks. The problem is, I do not have access to Matlab. And if, then only to a pretty outdated version.
Any other suggestions? Using the Comsol-APIs, perhaps?

Dear Lukas, both looks promising. However, mph2tecplot requires the LiveLink for MATLAB licence, hence it is not a general feasilble way. The second suggestion is indeed interesting for reporting. But as a first glace it seems to be not a tool for file conversion .Will check that. Many thanks!
Are there any news concerning the conversion of mphtxt or mphbin to VTK or STL?

Yes, we wrote a converter from mph to Tecplot. Right now, only 3d models are supported.
Hello, as far as I know Comsol 5.xx supports exporting to vtk file. Anyway, the results can be exported to txt file and then converted to vtk file using the VTK library or Paraview API (using python wrapper of VTK works well) in the older version of Comsol.
