I need to perform DSC for that i need to convert commercially provided AlNiCo ingot to powdered form/ very thin sheet . I am unable to think of a technique which would do this without resulting in loss of magnetism . Shall i go for wire EDM or Electron Beam Machining? Please Suggest me a suitable technique.

but you can cut them to very small pieces, you don't need to convert them to powders.
