the method of constraining parameters in dark energy models using data like SneIa requires finding integral of 1/H(z). This is because sneia data contains distance modulus data which we would like to fit to the model.
In most cases, 1/H(z) has several unknown parameters due to which its integral can't be determined. (even with an integration solver in python). the question is, how to proceed in this case ?
any resources will be appreciated.
Hi Dhruv, just make a fine linearly spaced binning in a, the cosmic scale factor and then convert that grid into z, then do a simple numerical trapezoidal integral of 1/H(z) (np.trapz in pyhthon). You will get converged values for sufficiently fine-binned a-grid.
