We have a cylindrical inertial electrostatic confinement (IEC) device where we confine ions by applying electrostatic field between the chamber wall (anode) and a cylindrical gridded cathode placed at the center of the device. We have successfully produced x-rays by applying -60 kV to the cathode and have also performed some x-ray radiography. Hydrogen gas is used in this experiment. However, i am not sure whether it is ion induced or electron induced x-ray that we have got. Is there any experimental way of confirming it?
