Traditionally reliability or resilience has been computed using only one parameter. I want to computed reliability of hydrologic system considering three different hydro-climatic parameters (say precipitation, ET and soil moisture) all together. Is there any way I can do this?

This is a questions that also tricks me. Loucks and Van Beek (2005, p. 316-322) suggest a composite indicator, but for combining reliability, resilience and vulnerability of one particular parameter to one indicator. Maybe one could also combine different parameters using a similar principle.

Hi. The best way to measure the hydrological behavior of a system is performing the water balance where the three of the variables you mention play a crucial role.
The general equation of the water balance is:
Teta i = Teta i - 1 + (Pp –ET+Q)
Where the subscript “i “ is the day, teta is the volume of water (soil water) in any given day, Pp is the precipitation and ET is evapotranspiration and Q is the runoff ( you may not use Q in a closed System). You may solve the equation for any variable given you have the needed information. If you want to perform the reliability I will recommend to solve the equation generating stochastically rainfall or to use any given return period. Since ET and Q depend on Pp, that will make these varaibles stochastic as well. Many models in the literature use this approach (SWAT, EPIC).
