I am looking for a protocol for complexation of cholesterol with methyl-beta-cyclodextrin. In another thread (https://www.researchgate.net/post/How_to_complex_cholesterol_in_B-cyclodextrin_for_better_solubility_and_stability) I noticed it was recommended to stir the mixture (cholesterol dissolved in ethanol and MbCD dissolved in water) and then chill the mixture. How long should I stir, and what is the function of the cooling step?
