I want to find similar nature earthquakes that generate similar ground motion in triggering the coseismic landslides. Which parameters do I have to check to compare any two earthquakes and declare them as comparable?
The idea of investigation is appreciable. The co-seismic events may or may not cause the similar character of the landslide. The triggering earthquakes waves have to pass through the heterogeneous geological layers which have explicit geophysical traits and anisotropic geotechnical behaviour.

Well, seismic moment, PGA and fault type are good proxies to estimate coseisnic landslide areas to a first order approximation.
