Dear Seniors, As my research trial field, is far from my lab and it will take more than one day to arrive lab. so how can i collect the fresh sample and bring to lab, please share the protocol how can i collect, store and transport my sample from field to lab.
Well, I am not totally sure for enzymatic activity. However, for other biochemical analyses (elements, metabolomics, proteomics, DNA, RNA...) you could collect the sample and freeze in situ with liquid nitrogen.
You can transport the dewar with the samples easilty to your lab. Once in the lab you could lyophilize the samples for purposes such as elements or metabolomics, and probably for most proteomics analyses. However, for enzyme analyses probably the sample should be mainly fresh. I know that for proteomics samples can be frozen in liquid nitrogen and you can process them direcly frozen.
