Sign in to your ResearchGate account. If you don't have an account, create one by providing the necessary information. Once you're logged in, go to your profile page. You can access it by clicking on your profile picture or the "Profile" option in the top navigation menu. On your profile page, locate the preprint file you want to change to an article. Click on the preprint's title or the "Edit" button (represented by a pencil icon) next to it. This will take you to the editing page for the preprint. Here, you can make changes to the metadata, description, and other details of the preprint. To change the preprint to an article, update the title, abstract, and any other relevant information to reflect the article's content. You can also upload the final version of your article as a PDF file if you have it ready. Make sure to provide accurate and up-to-date information about the article, including any co-authors, affiliations, and DOI (if applicable). After making the necessary changes, scroll down to the bottom of the editing page and click on the "Save" or "Update" button to save your changes. Once you've saved the changes, the preprint will be updated to reflect the changes you made, turning it into an article on ResearchGate.
