Are existing virtual laboratories efficient? How do you see the realization of practical works for other disciplines during emergency situations (architecture, agriculture, electronics, civil engineering, art, informatics, physics, chemistry, etc.). Are online practical works beneficial? Finally, is using simulation software a good solution for some fields?
I think through simulation, I see it as a useful and new experience, and it helps to acquire new skills for the individual.

I will tell you about our experience in a cytogenetics laboratory. A group of researchers have taken the microscopes to his house, there he diagnoses the samples. Technicians who must work in the laboratory come to work once a week, cultivate, process the samples. The researchers go to the laboratory once a week, deliver the results and collect new cases for diagnosis. The entire laboratory is communicated through a WhatsApp group that we have created to coordinate the different tasks

Yes, its good technique to use the simulation and other available techniques to overcome rather minimize the effect of emergency situation like Covid 19. We are also taking help of google classrooms, different meeting apps and whatsapp groups. But practically its impact could not be assessed before examinations. How these are handled by the individuals during actual work.

As part of my PhD project, which is developing a platform for teaching and practical works in robotics, I've conducted a study on how remote and virtual laboratories can be effective in a pedagogical activity. A questionnaire was given to a number of our teachers (who were 10 teachers) and the results showed that simulation and even practical activities on remote laboratories can be as effective as usual activities IF we can provide a platform in which interactions between students and teachers are possible. Student must have the possibility of asking their teachers any question at any time, they should work together and do their practical activity with their classmate even if they are apart. Teachers have to follow their students progress during the activity and ask questions, conduct tests and rectify their mistake. The list is long, but the main idea is that if we want to develop a full practical activity using simulated or remote labs their are pedagogical aspects and criteria we have to take into consideration. My results are sill primary, to validate those results I need more time to test the platform I put together on real pedagogical activities, in teaching a robotic course and to check the effectiveness of the platform on students. I hope I'll find support from my department!

Thank you Yacine Lafifi ! Our main concern was first to manipulate robots over the web and Internet, which is as you know slow and very limited. We could make a robotic application that reduces bandwidth consumption, then we studied how to put this application in a pedagogical context by providing all the necessary needs to students and teachers in order to learn robotics on real devices remotely. We select 25 criterias and characteristics (from the study we did) that our teachers have considered essential for practical teaching robotics, and must be on a e-learning platform. And we proposed a platform based on Open-edx (that I called Heureka), which for now, contains three types of remote activities based on virtual and remote lab, and using the application we made to reduce bandwidth consumption. I have to test it in a real teaching program, and I hope to get the opportunity after the covid-19 lockdown
