You can use perculation and a nonpolar solvent like hexan, ether de pethrol and then chloroform. In this manner exactly all of triterpens were separated but those which have glycosyl moiety don't enter to these fractions and need more polar solvents like ethyl actate, methanol and sometimes water.
Agree with Zahra. n-hexane and petroleum ether are the best solvent for defatting any plant material. After defatting, you can extract with ethanol to obtain the triterpenoids. Any method feasible for extraction at your place can be used like percolation, successive solvent extraction etc.
