Hi everyone,

I have encountered a trouble about Zernik index when studing Zernik polynomials. This problem is equivalent mathematically as follows,

Assume n=0,1,2,...

With each given n, let m=-n,-n+2,-n+4,...,n

Define j=[n(n+2)+m]/2

With a given j, for example j=16, how to calculate n and m?
