I have a query related to calculate Young's modulus of my Ti alloy samples.

I, Chirag Rabadia, have carried out the compression test on my samples of around 7-8 mm dia and 13-15 mm length.

I had also polished its surfaces and made completely flat.

From the Stress -strain curve of compression test using linear slope method (by selecting 2 points on a straight elastic line on a curve then using slope), Young's modulus is coming between 26 to 33 GPa. I know this is not possible. I am sending you the stress-strain curve of my 5 different sample compositions. Please find the attachment.

I tried to use extensometer for compression test but my sample size is so small that the strain value is not coming similar to without extensometer.

I humbly request you to guide me with your valuable suggestions

Thanks a lot
