There is a possibility to define it experimentally employing the simple procedure. Have a look at the Band-width (see attached figure).

thanks Dmitry. But i think i am unable to make you understand my question. I am saying, I have XPS of my sample. Now how i can calculate valence band position of my material or plot like the following graph? how i can plot it with my normal XPS data ? my normal XPS data for my material starts with binding energy 1.4-1102 eV

Test VB-XPS of your composite material, ask your XPS instrument incharge teacher either their equipment can test VB-XPS or not otherwise you need to take help from other laboratory for this test. After getting VB-XPS data plot it in origin software, interpolate the curve to the base line and this value will be VB value of your composite material.
