I am working in the field of supercapacitor. I want to know the formula for calculation of theoretical capacitance of any materials. I have also searching for theoretical specific capacitance values for metal ferrites, particularly, ZnFe2O4 material.Please provide the formula and values.
To calculate the capacitance we need to calculate charge....
- charge= integrated area of cv / 2xScan rate
- capacitance= charge / potential window
- specific capacitance= capacitance / mass of active material
Theoretical capacitance can be calculated using the following formula,
Capacitance, C = n X F/M X V
Capacity = n X F/M X 3.6
Where, n is number of electron transfer, F is Faraday Constant, M is Molar mass, V is applied potential.

the attached document is not related to the calculation of theoretical capacitance.
For faradic electrochemical capacitor materials, their theoretical specific capacitance Ct could be expressed by Equation (1.4) [30]:
𝐶𝑡= (𝑛𝐹)/(𝐴𝑉 𝑀𝑟)
In above Equation 𝑛 represents the moles of charges transferred per mole of active materials, 𝐹 represents Faraday’s constant (96485 C mol-1), 𝐴𝑉 represents the voltage during the discharging process (V), and 𝑀𝑟 represents the molar mass of the active materials.
