I am working with a biosolvent derived from E.crassipes and I intend to characterize the surface area using BET. How do I calculate the pore diameter from the data obtained by BET?
From BET data, you would not be able to estimate the pore diameter. For that, you need pore volume vs pore diameter data and BJH adsorption dV0/dD pore volume distribution data. With these data, you can find the cumulative pore volume and the change in pore volume V0 with the increase in pore diameter (D) within the micro (up to 20 Å or 2 nm), meso (>20 Å or 2 nm to < 500 Å or 50 nm), and macroporous (>500 Å or 50 nm) regions.
However, you can find all these data (including BET) from the single data sheet (result) you received from the N2 gas adsorption-desorption instrument.

From the adsorption data, you can calculate the specific surface area (BET). Using this and the desorption data you are able to calculate the total pore volume and the pore size distribution with the BJH method.
