I will doing a simulation with matlab for three wheeled vehicle, but i met a difficulties to complete the vehicle properties for simulation. due I don't have the 3d design of the vehicle model so i can't get the moment of inertia directly from the solidwork tool.
So, I need to calculate the moment with calculation formulas.
please give me the formula and its source, thanks :)
Approximation by a rod for the driveline and a spherical shell for the rest should give you a place to start. Formulas should be in one of your text books :) but they are also on Wikipedia.

If you don't have 3D model, you can use manual calculating by dividing your vehicle into smaller parts, then you can estimate moment inertia of each part. This way I think is suitable for you, the formula to do this you can find in any books online or wikipedia
