hello everyone.

I am trying to calculate the elasticity of a RVE of Carbon fiber reinforced polymer composite, but there are too many tricks during the modelling and calculation, such as the interface (the properties and thickness) or the precision (double recision for the analysis or constraints) or the mesh, I have tried many times with our own codes for the creation of the sets and equations and even some popular plugin, but failed. so I started from the most basic RVE model with the isotropic material (i.e. matrix), but still failed, even with my codes and plugin.

I created the sets and equations from the two faces in X direction with reference point 1, which is loading direction. then created the sets and equations from the two faces in Y and Z directions with RP-2 and RP-3, respectively. then I recorded the RF-1 and U1 of RP-1, and calculated the elasticty by following equation:

E = stress/strain = (RF-1/(a*b))/(U1/c)

I was wondering if the elasticity of a RVE can be calculated in this way?

any comment would be helpful. thanks so much.
