I have prepared ZnO and Graphene based nanocomposites. For the synthesis of this nanocomposite i have used ZnCl2 as precursor for ZnO. For a fixed volume fraction 0.015 vol%, i have to calculate mass of the composite and to determining mass i need the density of this nanocomposite.
You have to determine the volume fractions of the nano composites in a cross section (confocal laser scan / atomic force microscopy image editing with special computer program). If the densities of the nano composites are known, you can calculate the mass fractions from volume fractions.
Another possible way is to measure the density of the material by using a gas pycnometer.

What amounts do you use for the analysis, these vol% are not very informative. Milligrams? If you have few, you may firstly evaluate C applying elemental combustive analysis. Then Zn after dissolution and calculate the output ratio.
