I have found two different formulae for calculating damage parameters (dc & dt) i.e.
dc = 1- (σ/σmax) (Paper-1)
dc = 1- Exp (-ac x εin)
Can anyone please tell me which formula is correct for finding damage parameters (dc & dt) for masonry modelling in Abaqus.

I am unable to comment on the correctness of the formulae but one will degrade the stiffness in liniear fasion as new sigma is updated while the other follows the exponential trend.
If you want to calibrate this model, the best way is reading the original paper related to this model which are

Damage parameter is a model dependent one then as a function of the damage model that you decide to use which is very much application and user dependent), then your damage model will be different. There is no good one.
However, if you decide on using the one mentioned, then correctness will be defined in the cited paper hopefully.
