During grinding of chalcopyrite– pyrite mixture, a quasi-generation of amorphous chalcopyrite takes place, while the structure of pyrite does not change. So，when we calculate the crystallite size reduction and the rise in lattice strain by XRD，would we take account of the pyrite peaks ？
If you have a good XRD pattern with separate peaks, at lest 3 peaks, of chalcopyrite you could have a good calculation of crystallite size and lattice strain
Ahmed Hannora ，thank you, I mean, I have the good patterns. In the pattern of raw ore，the pyrite peaks are to small to count. However, after long time milling, the tiny pyrite peaks stay unchanged, and the chalcopyrite peaks intensity become lower, they look quite closer, so I wonder if the pyrite peaks should be counted.
