I've conducted a meta-analysis using standardized mean difference (SMD) as the effect size, but a reviewer has recommended referring to the standard z score for the effect sizes in the abstract and the text.
Could you please help me how to calculate standard Z-score by CMA software as an effect size?

To calculate the effect size in continuous variables and based on correlation, it is finally better converting to a z-score.
As the calculation of "SMD" or "d" / or Corrected "g" in meta-analysis is the main point and correlation shows the linear relationship between two continuous variables.
In a meta-analysis, g(r) or correlation should ultimately be converted to Z by the Fisher method.
The rest of analyzes is based on converted values. If you want to have an accurate estimation of ρ , you first need to get the corrected value of g(r) for each study and then convert g(r) to z-score. Zi has an almost normal distribution for the variance.
