How to calculate Sharp's method when study leaching kinetic?

I don't understand how to use Sharp's method to choose a correct model for my kinetic study. What if the metal leaching rate is very slow or even stagnant some time before the reaction, and grows rapidly after that, how to fit its kinetics?
