Hello everyone,
I am looking for the protocol to calculate MIC and MBC by broth microdilution method but I am unable to get a suitable protocol. In papers, they have given the reference of CLSI but when I am opening the reference, sample copy is being displayed which is not having the methodology. Can somebody provide me the detailed protocol for MIC and MBC calculation or share the link of CLSI which is having the complete protocol.

There is no turbidity in tube and if there is no growth on agar plate after plating is called MIC. There is no turbidity in tube but there is growth on agar plate after plating is called MBC. Lots of articles and protocols are available online you can follow.
MIC is the first clear tube after the turbid tube which has low concentration of antibiotics or any thing you want to determine its MIC but to determine it you must take all tube with no growth and culture it on Muller Hintun agar the plate which appeared no growth its MBC
Dear Dhirendra Kumar, I think this is incorrect. The lowest concentration or highest dilution that inhibits growth (ie turbidity) is the MIC. You should then plate out all the clear tubes, and the highest dilution at which no growth occurs is the MBC
