A core flooding experiment was carried out in my lab to determine the dynamic adsorption of an anionic EOR surfactant. A conventional core of weight 116.015 g was used. The area under the tracer curve and surfactant relative conc. curves is 7.4 and and 7.15 respectively in the dynamic adsorption experiments . Can anybody show me how to calculate the dynamic adsorption from these data.

Thank you...very much..but I am still not able to figure out how you arrived at the value i.e. 0.3 mg/g. Considering my example if you can put some light, it will be very helpful.
Hi Abhishek, we first obtain the surfactant delay typically by obtaining the difference in the areas between these curves (tracer breaking through around 1PV while surfactant being delayed). Say this area is 0.25 mL*wt% (assuming volume in mL and surfactant concentration in wt%). We convert this to mg as follows: assuming density of aqueous solution to be 1 g/mL we get 0.25mL*wt%~0.25gx(1/100)(g/g)x1000mg/g=2.5mg. Then you divide this by Rock mass in grams.
