I have created a geometry of a concrete hollow box, placed a point source inside it. I got the Edep plot, now I need to calculate the depth dose profile in it.
I see extended example TestEm2,4, and 11 but I got bogged down seeing the enormous jungle of code. My understanding so far is, I need to access longitudinal and radial depth of the detector. Then need to get dose= edep/mass in each profile. Then show it in a histogram.
I need instructions whether my way is right and how can I do it simply.
Please do help, I got stuck here for a long.

The example located in $Geant4_install_dir/examples/advanced/medical_linac/ provides a detailed procedure showing how to simulate energy deposit in a voxelized water phantom. You can adapt the phantom definition, the voxelization part and the scoring code according to your need.

You could also try the GATE toolkit for this sort of dosimetry simulation. There is an actor (detector) called as DoseActor in GATE to store the energy deposition and absorbed dose.

Mannu Bardhan Paul maybe try to research about touchables. What I understood is that each step in the body you have to collect the energy and ploting a profile, isn't it?
