I have carried out solid state fermentation and extracted the sample for citric acid and then analysed it on LC-MS. I have got a concentration of 50 ppm.Now, I want to calculate the concentration for 100 grams of this sample.
The sample was diluted in 1:2 ratio before analysis.
Can anyone suggest me a appropriate formula for this and I also want to know that do I need to consider the peak area and mass during the concentration?
you can run several standards of different concentrations on LC-MS, come up with a calibration curve from concentrations versus peak areas, run the sample and then calculate conc of sample using the equation of the curve.
This can be done through quantification by spectroscopy
