The Body Shape Index (ABSI) is calculated by a mathematical expression (ABSI = WC / (BMI2/3 . Height ½)) (doi: 10.1371 / journal.pone.0185013). I am trying to create a worksheet for automatic calculation of the index by excel, however the values do not match with online calculators. how would the given expression for the calculation in excel be?

You have to make sure that all input variables (WC, BMI, and h) have matching units, i.e. WC should be in (m), BMI in (kg/m^2) and h in (m). In the paper Table WC variable is given in cm, hence it should converted to m by multiplying by 0.01.
This way you'll get the correct output ABSI.
