I've been using Span 80 to stabilize droplets in my microfluidic system. Initially, 3wt% was effective, but I'm now facing coalescence issues in the output chamber inside the chip. I've tried 2wt% and 4wt%, adjusted droplet flow rates(to have better spacing between droplet), but the problem persists. Knowing that I didn't change the dispersed phase or the continuous phase.
I am reaching out to inquire if you have encountered a similar challenge in your work and if you could share any insights or suggestions for managing coalescence issues in a microfluidic system utilizing Span 80. Your expertise would be invaluable in helping me address and overcome this persistent problem.
